Mr. Flack is a Partner at Volta, where he focuses on lateral partner hiring and integration. In his consulting work with law firms, he works in tandem with firm leadership and recruiting teams to assess the effectiveness of existing processes, to design and implement strategies that optimize recruitment and integration outcomes and to maximize the firm’s return on its investment in lateral hiring. Prior to Volta, Howard spent 33 years at Hogan Lovells, where he first served as a Corporate Partner and then, starting in 2001, as the firm’s Lateral Recruitment and Integration Partner. Howard has been recognized by The American Lawyer and other legal press for his groundbreaking work in lateral recruiting and integration. He is regularly invited to speak on recruiting panels to share his experience with, and ideas about, making productive connections for laterals and helping them to hit the ground running. Howard earned his J.D., cum laude, from New York Law School, and his B.A. from Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey.




Mr. Ellenhorn, Co-Founder and General Counsel of Decipher, is an entrepreneurial leader, lawyer and Solicitor (England & Wales, non- practicing), with more than 20 years of success building and strengthening professional services businesses, including 14 years in the international legal search space, operating businesses throughout Europe, the Middle East, North America and Asia. Prior to his career in executive search, Michael was a trial lawyer and legislative analyst in the U.S Senate. Michael is a frequent speaker and author on lateral partner integration and the critical importance of utilizing competitive intelligence to mitigate risk. Mr. Ellenhorn earned his law degree from Washington University in St. Louis School of Law and has an MBA from City University in London, UK.

Howard Rosenberg, Co-Founder & CEO

Mr. Rosenberg, Co-Founder & Chief Executive Officer of Decipher, brings more than 20 years of success, building and strengthening professional services organizations. He joined from Debevoise & Plimpton where he was responsible for supporting the firm’s global private equity practice. Prior to Debevoise, Howard was the Chief Operating Officer for Baker & McKenzie’s Washington, DC office, and a Managing Director of London-based Berwin Leighton Paisner (BLP). While at BLP, he led an innovative compliance-based business involving Deloitte, and guided a merger that resulted in the creation of one of the UK’s largest law firms. Mr. Rosenberg earned two Bachelor’s degrees in Fine Arts and in Architecture from the Rhode Island School of Design and holds an MBA from Cambridge University.

David served as President, Bloomberg BNA Legal Division/Bloomberg Law and was previously the Co-Founder and Co-CEO of Pangea3, the No.1 ranked legal process outsourcing (LPO) provider world-wide that was acquired by Thompson Reuters. Prior to Pangea3, David was Vice President, Business and Legal Affairs for Monster.com and began his career as a corporate associate in the New York City office of Katten Muchin Rosenman. David speaks frequently and is quoted widely on entrepreneurship, cross-border businesses, legal innovation, outsourcing and offshoring. He has been featured in numerous media outlets, and won many industry awards, including the American Lawyer’s Top 50 Innovators of the Last 50 Years (2013), National Law Journal’s 50 Business of Law Trailblazers and Pioneers (2013) and ABA Journal’s Legal Rebel (2011). David was a Metro NY Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year finalist (2009). David graduated cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania, from which he also earned his law degree.
